New Year, New Home for the Filipino Bowlers’ Club Singapore (FBCS)
FBCS has just moved to a more “homey” playground. Well maintained lanes, courteous and helpful centre staff, conducive air-con temperature (we all miss this - to bowl with out looking as if you’ve just had a treadmill challenge!!), reasonable lane fees and generally a much better bowling environment - these are the key factors that prompted the club to adopt Superbowl Mt. Faber located at Safra, Telok Blangah as its new home…and new playground.
As early as December 2008, some of the members had already secured their lockers; although Bowling Centre Manager, Bob has promised to build new set of lockers just for the club.
This is the Clubs’ 6th bowling centre since its inception in 1995 – from Orchard Bowl in 1995 to Kim Seng Starbowl, Victors Superbowl, Cathay Bowl and its latest home prior to its move to Superbowl Mt Faber- the Kallang Bowl.
Boasting 34 lanes, Safra Mt Faber has a reputation well-known not just to the renowned bowlers of Singapore; but to overseas bowling community as well - making it as a favourite bowling centre for international competitions such as AMF World Cup Singapore in 2004 and Singapore International Open 2008 – to mention a few.
FBCS members…buckle up for a real bowling this time!!
